Balakrishna’s next with his favourite director put on hold?

Hero Balakrishna is currently working on his hat-trick film with Boyapati Srinu. After wrapping up this film, Balayya was supposed to join forces with his favourite director B Gopal, who had given some of the iconic blockbusters in Balayya’s career such as Lorry Driver, Samarasimha Reddy and Narasimha Naidu.

However, if the latest buzz is anything to go by, the Balayya-B Gopal film has been put on hold temporarily as Balayya has decided to reunite with his Paisa Vasool director Puri Jagannadh for his next project. Puri has already completed the script work for this crazy project. An official announcement regarding this exciting film could be out soon after the lockdown ends.

Acharya in Sankranthi race, 2021?

If the ongoing buzz is anything to go by, Megastar Chiranjeevi’s highly -anticipated 152nd film, Acharya, has been postponed to Sankranthi, 2021. Needless to say, the reason behind this postponement is the 2 month long shutdown of shootings due to the lockdown.

Apparently, Team Acharya will be resuming the shooting formalities from June 15th, after the Telangana government issues permission for the shootings. A couple of songs and a massive action episode will be canned in the upcoming schedule.

So far, director Koratala Siva has completed nearly 40 percent of the production formalities. Clarity on Ram Charan’s special cameo movie is yet to be made by the makers. Ram Charan and Niranjan Reddy are jointly producing this high budget social drama. Kajal Aggarwal is the film’s leading lady.

Naga Shaurya’s Aswathama sets a record on TV

Hero Naga Shaurya turned script writer with the intense action thriller, Aswathama, and even produced the film under his banner. The film released in January and had an average run at the box-office. However, Aswathama has set a record in Naga Shaurya’s career.

The film, which was aired on a popular general entertainment channel recently, has clocked 9.10 TRPs, which is highest among all other movies of the young actor. The ongoing lockdown has helped the film attract more number of audiences. Interestingly, the film has managed to pull off this feat when it’s already available for streaming on the popular OTT platform Sun Next.

NTR’s birthday, a record-breaking feast for fans

NTR is a superstar and has been in the best of his form from the last few years. He celebrated his birthday yesterday and social media went into a tizzy across the country.

The hashtag #HappyBirthdayNTR was trending throughout the day on Twitter. The news is that 21.5 million tweets wishing him were recorded on May 20 which itself is a record for a trending topic in a day in India.

This clearly shows how big a star NTR has become in the days to come. He will next be seen in RRR and also in a film with Trivikram and Prashanth Neel in the days to come.

NTR's Three Films to Release in Three Consecutive Years?

Given the previous reports, Young Tiger NTR's RRR had to hit screens on January 8, 2021. On the other hand, NTR and Trivikram's combo film's producer Haarika and Haassine Creations announced their film's release for summer, 2021. 

However, ongoing lockdown being imposed by the union government turned a stumbled block for all film shoots and upset the release planning of almost all films. As such, RRR's release is pushed to summer, 2021.

Now that NTR is to complete his balance part of RRR, he can't team up Trivikram until this year end. As a result, the combo's 'Ayinanu Poyi Raavale Hasthinaku' might release on in 2022. 

Obviously, NTR and Prashant Neel's film maybe delayed and will release in 2023. All in all, three films of NTR will hit screens in three consecutive years such as 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Sukumar And Mythri Say No To OTT!

Director Sukumar has ventured into production sometime back and his debut film “Kumari 21F” is a super hit. With support from Mythri Movie Makers, he’s now coming up with the movie “Uppena” which has his associate Buchi Babu Sana directing it. Recently this film got a huge offer from an OTT platform we hear.

With many small budgeted films and films that have comparatively new faces and struggling heroes going to OTT in Bollywood and Tamil arena, even Uppena is said to have got a similar offer. The film has newcomer Vaishnav Tej, brother of Sai Dharam Tej and new girl Kriti Shetty as the leading pair. But then, Sukumar and Mythri are said to have shown no interest in the offer due to budget issues.

Apparently they are said to have spent nearly 18 crores for the movie and that is a huge bet considering the fresh faces. But then the budget is not impossible to recover, as the newly introducing mega hero and the brand of Sukumar might have pulled heavy crowds to theatres. With OTT platforms giving an offer like how they give for any other small movie, Uppena creators have decided to not sell the film, they say.

Uppena will be one of those first films that is ready to hit theatres once the lockdown gets lifted and theatres re-opened.

Nani to do a Ram Charan in his next?

Recently, hero Nani signed his next film which will be directed by a debutant named Srikanth Odela, a former protege of star director Sukumar. Nani is said to be playing a never before seen role in this as-yet-untitled film.

Now, the latest buzz is that Nani’s role in the movie will be rugged and rustic a la Ram Charan’s Chittibabu character in Rangasthalam. Needless to say, it will be exciting to see the Natural Star in such a drastic avatar for the first time in his career.

Sudhakar Cherukuri will be bankrolling this film. More details about the project will be out in a few days.

Miheeka exposes her love for Rana through a tattoo

Rana made his love for his fiance Miheeka official as the families of the couple gave a green signal and the marriage will be held this year-end in a big way.

Miheeka too made her relationship official and went a step ahead of Rana and got herself a tattoo pierced. Seen here in the picture is the tattoo with the symbol Rana loves Miheeka which looks so cute.

NTR's 'Ramudu Bheemudu' Completes 56 Years

Nataratna NT Ramarao's 'Ramudu Bheemudu' was released on 21st of May, 1964 and completed 56 years on 21st  May, 2019. The movie stood as the biggest blockbuster then. NTR played dual roles for the first time in his career in this movie. This was the first movie of Padma Bhushan Dr. D.Rama Naidu as a producer on Suresh Productions. The movie had been made as a mass and family entertainer. NTR's 'Ramudu' character was seen as an innocent guy while 'Bheemudu' played an interesting  mass character. Jamuna and L.Vijayalakshmi romanced with NTR in this movie. SV Rangarao's character as Jamuna's dad was decent and dignified while Relangi and Ramana Reddy's superb comedy stood as one of the highlights of the movie. 

The story of the movie was given by DL Narasaraju while the movie was directed by Taapi Chanakya. Pendyala has composed evergreen superb melodious songs such as 'Telisindile..telisindiley nelaraja nee roopu thelisindile', 'Adey adey vintha nenu thelusukunnadee', 'Vundiley mancheekaalam mundu mundunaa', 'Desammu marindoy kaalammu maarindoy', 'Sarada sarada sigarettoo' etc. 'Ramudu Bheemudu' story has inspired many film makers in the subsequent days after the release of the movie. The stories of 'Ganga Manga', 'Yamudiki Mogudu' etc. have similar lines to that of 'Ramudu Bheemudu'.

After Rana shared his pics with Miheeka from their family get together, which took place on Wednesday, and before that too, there have been a lot of rumours that Rana has got engaged. But the truth is that it is just a get together, and more of a Roka ceremony.

AP government’s freebies to Tollywood filmmakers

In a welcome move, the Andhra Pradesh government announced a list of freebies in terms of location expenses which will be a huge relief to all the filmmakers who are already reeling under the after effects of the 2 month long lockdown. The government followed the list of directives proposed by the Andhra Pradesh State Film, TV and Theatre Development Corporation (APSFTVTDC) and amended the 2006 G.O.

The latest G.O. will introduce the long-pending demand of the Single Window System, facilitating a smooth process for filmmakers to seek permissions for shooting in various locations across Andhra Pradesh. With the implementation of the new G.O., filmmakers need to pay a refundable caution deposit and the money will be refunded soon after the completion of the shooting.

The government has categorised the public locations under the corporation and municipality limits into 3 categories. While the producers pay a caution deposit of Rs 15,000 per day in category 1, they will be paying Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively to shoot in 2nd and 3rd categories respectively. The above freebies can be availed once the permissions for shooting are given after the lockdown period ends.

Genelia in Chiranjeevi's upcoming movie?

Genelia was one of the noteworthy heroines of Tollywood 15 years ago. Her films such as Bommarillu, Dhee and Ready stood as sensational hits. She was last seen in Rana's Naa Ishtam released in 2012. 

If at all ongoing reports are to be believed, Genelia has been roped in for the lead actress role in Megastar Chiranjeevi's crazy venture Lucifer. Surely, it's going to be a grand comeback for this forgotten heroine to Tollywood. 

Lucifer will be directed by Saaho director Sujeeth

Lucifer, as is known, is the Telugu remake of Malayalam blockbuster with the same title. Chiranjeevi sports the role of Malayalam superstar Mohan Lal's role in the movie. The film will roll down once Megastar's ongoing film Acharya gets its shoot wrapped up.

Sathyadev plans to turn director

Young actor Sathyadev has been constantly impressing movie lovers with his author-backed performances in acclaimed movies and web-series such as Ghazi, Kshanam, Brochevarevarura and Gods of Dharmapuri. His next film in a lead role is Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya, a film jointly produced by the makers of Baahubali and Care of Kancharapalem.

Now, in a latest interview with a popular English daily, Sathyadev revealed that he has been writing several scripts during the lockdown. All the scripts are being written for himself and he will approach production houses with his scripts once the lockdown ends. If time permits, Sathyadev is also planning to turn director with one of the scripts he has written. Let’s see how the coming months will pan out for this talented actor.

Balakrishna In Ayyappanum Koshiyum Remake

Natasimha Balakrishna is currently starring in his 106th film and the project is having high expectations as he is teaming up with Boyapati Srinu who earlier presented him blockbusters like Simha and Legend. Balakrishna is romancing Anjali and Shriya in the film.

Rumors are spreading that he would work with B Gopal who presented him super hits like Samara Simha Reddy and Narasimha Naidu. When Gopal approached him, Balakrishna is unable to refuse him as he earlier presented him hits. Many criticized his decision to team up with the fade out director.

In the meantime, Balakrishna is getting ready to star in the remake of Malayalam hit Ayyappanum Koshiyum. There is no clarity as to who would direct and whether it is confirmed or not. NTR writes an open letter to disappointed fans

Young Tiger Jr NTR fans were utterly disappointed that the team of ‘RRR’ is unable to come up with the first look or teaser of the magnum opus film. Fans are taking to the social media and are openly expressing their displeasure.

In order to pacify the fans, Tarak has stepped into and issued a statement. “These are extraordinary times and safeguarding the health of you and your loved ones is the most important thing to do,” said Tarak.

Further the statement read, “I am also aware that many of you are disappointed about the lack of a first look or teaser from RRR. Believe me when I say that the team is as disappointed as you are.”

Tarak mentioned that the team of ‘RRR’ has worked extremely hard but the guidelines of social distancing and lockdown did not let the work get done on time. But the Nandamuri hero said the final output of the film will thrill the fans and audience.

NTR's Next 3 Films Valued to 1000 Crores?

If at all everything goes well as per planned, Young Tiger NTR's next three films would be worth of Rs.1000 crores. But how? Here is the story. 

As we all know, Young Tiger is working for India's costliest film RRR being helmed by Rajamouli. Filmmakers have reportedly disclosed the estimated budget Rs.450 crore on the project. 

And then, NTR will be working with wizard of words Trivikram. This film's budget also recently made rounds in social media as Rs.150 crore taking the total to Rs.600 crore on both Rajamouli and Trivikram's projects. 

Of late, it's strongly buzzed that NTR would be working with super sensational director Prashant Neel who attained nationwide fame with his KGF. If at all the combo gets materialized, the film would be made a multi-lingual pan Indian film. Fans are hoping the total budget of this film would be Rs.400 crores so that next three films of NTR can be costed Rs.1000 crore, a landmark number, indeed!

Senior heroine’s wish to act in a web-series with Megastar

Senior heroine turned character artiste Ramya Krishna has been having a gala time, signing prestigious projects ever since Baahubali had changed her career a few years ago. She even entered the digital space by playing the lead role in Queen, a web-series based on the life of former Tamil Nadu CM and actress Jayalalitha.

In a recent interview, Ramya Krishna expressed her wish to act in a straight Telugu web-series. What’s more, the power-packed performer wanted to share screen space with none other than Megastar Chiranjeevi in the series. She said that she is eagerly waiting for Chiru to make his foray into the digital space.

Nag Ashwin’s latest update on Prabhas21

Star hero Prabhas’ 21st film under Mahanati fame Nag Ashwin’s direction is one of the most eagerly awaited movies across the country. To be made as a pan-International film with a whopping budget of over Rs 400 crores, this as-yet-untitled film is touted as a sci-fi thriller. Ever since the project was announced around a month ago, there has been a lot of curiosity about the film’s status.

Meanwhile, ever since the project is announced, news has been in circulation that the makers are going to name the film as Ayinanu Poyi Ravale Hastinaku but till now nothing was confirmed by the makers.

Now, the latest buzz is that Trivikram and his team are planning to release the official poster of the project with the title logo on May 20th as Tarak’s birthday special.

Hebah Patel Fails To Mesmerise in RED

Restarting the promotions of his upcoming film “Red”, hero Ram Pothineni is making sure that a new video will be released about the film each week. Last time they have come up with the ‘behind the scenes’ video of a song shot in Italy, and now they have come up with this item number teaser.

Featuring ‘Kumari 21 F’ fame hottie Hebah Patel in her first ever item song, the song “Dhinchak” is out today with the video hitting YouTube on the eve of Ram’s birthday. While the song is another mass treat from Manisharma, one has to look at two aspects of it, Hebah Patel and choreography.

It looks like Hebah Patel is yet to get her old curvaceous looks back, while her dance steps are also not so catchy. Many expect this song to be like Dhimaak Karaab from Ismart Shankar, but Hebah’s dances are not as energetic and glamorous as Nidhi Agerwal and Nabha Natesh. In the first look, she has failed to mesmerise while we have to see if the full song video might work in her favour.

Jani master has composed some routine steps for Ram. However, Ram makes those steps look interest as he infused energy into the dance movements.

Red is a remake of Tamil hit film Thadam and directed by Kishore Tirumala of Nenu Sailaja fame.

Nithiin’s Marriage Postponed To Dec!

Contrary to a section of reports that actor Nithiin would also enter into wedlock in this lockdown period, it’s learnt that the Bheeshma star has no such plans. The families of both groom and bride have decided to postpone the wedding and the latest is that the families are mulling over to have a December wedding.

Nithiin and Shalini Kandukuri got engaged on Feb 15 this year and the families of the couple had planned a destination wedding in Dubai scheduled for April 16 at Palazo Versace hotel. But due to Corona virus pandemic and restricted international travel and imposed lockdown, the families have postponed the wedding.

Buzz is that the couple have decided to have a grand wedding bash and such large gatherings could only be possible by December 2020. However, the plan is in nascent phase. An official announcement would be made by families later.

Meanwhile, it’s also buzzed that Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj’s wedding would also take place in December this year.
