Special makeup test for Balakrishna’s Aghora getup

Star hero Balakrishna will enthrall his fans by donning the Aghora getup in his ongoing film under Boyapati Srinu’s direction. In the film, tentatively titled Monarch, Balayya will also be seen as a leader from Rayalaseema.

As per the latest reports, Boyapati Srinu will conduct a special look test with Balayya very soon. Already, Boyapati has designed two looks for the Aghora role. He will test both the Aghora getups on Balayya to finalize one look.

A new heroine is said to in talks to play the female lead opposite Balayya. Miryala Ravinder Reddy is producing the movie.

RGV claims ‘Climax’ is a blockbuster

Eccentric filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s latest film, Climax, had its world digital premiere on Shreyaset mobile app last night. This erotic thriller features popular adult film actress Mia Malkova in the lead role. As usual, RGV tried to play to the gallery by titillating the audience with some sensual visuals in the promos.

Now, RGV took to Twitter and released a poster which claims that Climax has become a huge success. Apparently, the makers expected an audience of 50,000 initially. But 1,68,596 people watched the film so far, which means that the film has collected Rs 1.68 crore.

Climax is available for streaming on a pay Rs 100 per view basis. This collection is indeed huge considering the negative reviews and the film being pirated by malicious websites.

Balayya ready to act in a multi-starrer with NTR

A lot has been gossipped about the strained relationship between the Nandamuri uncle-nephew duo, Balakrishna and NTR. However, both the actors have always maintained that all was well between them and ruled out having any issues.

In a latest interview, Balakrishna was asked about the long-cherished dream of the Nandamuri fans – a multi-starrer featuring him and his nephews – NTR, Kalyanram and Taraka Ratna. And Balayya promptly said that he is ready to share screen space with NTR and his other nephews anytime.

Balayya also added that the Nandamuri multi-starrer will materialize only when filmmakers approach him with a terrific script. “When we join hands for a film, it should be a memorable project and it should not be made with an intention to just make money,” Balayya said.

Mani Ratnam’s web-series with 9 directors?

It’s been recently reported that acclaimed Tamil filmmaker Mani Ratnam will be foraying into the digital world by spearheading a web-series under his Madras Talkies banner. Mani will be making this series for a leading OTT platform.

In an interesting update, it’s been learnt that Mani’s web-series is titled Navarasa and it will feature nine episodes, with each episode highlighting each rasa from Bharata’s Natyashastra. Gautham Menon, Karthik Naren, Bejoy Nambiar and Aravind Swami have been roped in to direct one episode each, apart from Mani Ratnam himself. More details about this ambitious project will be revealed soon.

Uppena’s run time locked

A day back, we had reported that star director, Sukumar, the co-producer of Uppena is busy sitting with the editing department and is making the film crisp by deleting all the unnecessary scenes from the romantic drama.

The latest we hear is that the film has been edited completely and the run time is now locked at two hours 30 minutes. The film was supposed to release during the month of April but the lockdown happened.

The makers are waiting for the theaters to open so that they can release the film. Buchi Babu Sana is directing this film which also has star hero Vijay Sethupathi in a key role.

Priyamani As Comrade Bharathakka In Virataparvam

Dusky Beauty Priyamani who took some break after Mana Oori Ramayanam that was released in 2016 is making her comeback to Tollywood as a character artist in Rana Daggubati and Sai Pallavi starrer periodic romantic action entertainer Virataparvam directed by Venu Udugula.

On the occasion of Priyamani’s birthday, makers of Virataparvam revealed her first look poster. She plays Comrade Bharathakka in the film and her first look is amazing. Draped in comrade costume, Priyamani looks euphoric here. Her actions in the picture are contradictory to her character in the film.

Before lockdown was enforced, Virataparvam completed most of the shoot except for last schedule which will be canned once the permission is granted for film shoots. The first look posters of Rana, Sai Pallavi garnered good interest and Priyamani’s also creates curiosity.
