Kalyan Ram rejects an offer from a noted director

The latest update is that with one such crazy subject, Maruthi and his team approached Kalyan Ram. But sadly, Kalyan Ram has declined the offer after thinking a lot.

Kalyan Ram is looking for a hit and does not want to sign projects just for the heck of it. Did he make a wise decision? or will he get a solid project in the days to come? only time will tell.

TN Approves 100 % Occupancy In Theatres

In a big development the Tamil Nadu government has approved 100 percent occupancy in theatres. From November 10th, the theatres across TN have reopened but with only 50 percent seating capacity.

But during this time, no new film had released and so the theatres incurred huge losses further adding to the lockdown. Accordingly the theatres management recently met the government of TN and put their request before the government to increase the seating capacity.

However, the TN government did not hurry and consulted the health department and only after a report of decrease in daily cases of Covid-19, the government has decided to hike the seating capacity. With this decision, all the theatres and multiplexes in the state can allow 100 percent audiences in the theatres but the standard operations of precautionary measures will be duly followed.

Pongal is a big season for Kollywood and Thalapathy Vijay is arriving at the box office with ‘Master.’ There was a rumour last week that the TN government might hike the seating occupancy and it turns out to be true.

So ‘Master’ is the first big ticket from Kollywood at the ticket counter and certainly the whole of industry would be looking at this film’s performance.

Prakash Raj Is Happy To See My Growth As An Actor

Young hero Bellamkonda Sai Srinivas started his film journey as hero with 2014-released Alludu Seenu and he is set to enthrall Telugu audience with Alludu Adhurs directed by Santhosh Srinivas which is gearing up for Sankranthi release on January 15th. Bellamkonda is also making his Bollywood debut with Chatrapathi remake under VV Vinayak’s direction. So, 2021 will be very special film for the young hero who turns a year older today. Here are excerpts from interview with Bellamkonda.

After the grand success of Rakshasudu, you are doing a family entertainer Alludu Adhurs. How different this character and film from your previous ones?
Alludu Adhurs is an out and out entertainer where I played a hilarious character. I want to say this that Alludu Adhurs is definitely not a regular film. It is a commercial entertainer with a unique point. Yu will know this when the trailer is out.

Alludu Adhurs has huge casting including Prakash Raj and Sonu Sood, how was your working experience with them?
I share good rapport with Prakash Raj garu. He has seen me growing as an actor from Alludu Seenu to now. He was very happy and was impressed with my acting. Sonu Sood is another gem. You will love the scenes between me and these senior actors.

How was it working with Santhosh Srinivas?

Santhosh Srinivas is like my brother. He made Kandireega under our home banner. When he came up with this story, I gave the nod at once. He has the knack of dealing comedy subjects. I completely enjoyed working with him.
Was there any particular reason for doing different photoshoots in lockdown with different getups?
I didn’t have any particular reason for doing the photoshoots. As I grew hair and beard for the first time, I wanted to try different looks. The fortunate thing is I got calls from various directors who told me that one or the other look would be apt for their films.

You did two cop dramas in Kavacham and Rakshasudu, do you love wearing khaki?
When I signed Kavacham many cautioned me not do to cop roles at the early stage of my career. Unfortunately, Kavacham didn’t do well at the box office. I took it as a challenge and scored a hit doing a cop in Rakshasudu. I like challenges.

How do you take hits and flops?
I don’t really bother about result of my films. Hit or flop, I don’t take it seriously. If a film becomes hit, I will go to gym in the evening with happiness or else I will work out an hour extra in distress. That’s it. From Monday onwards, it will be completely normal for me. I always take failures in a positive way and move on.

Why did you choose Chatrapathi remake for your Bollywood debut?
My dubbing films turned hit in north belt. So, several filmmakers came to me with the proposal of introducing me in Bollywood. But, I waited for a right script. Pen Studios approached me with Chatrapathi remake and I was delighted to do it. I’m really happy to do remake of Rajamouli’s film. Almost many films of him were remade in Hindi and they became smashing hits. His films will have good content with wonderful family emotions. On the other hand, all the successful Pan Indian films like Baahubali, KGF etc. have mother or other family emotions. There were many blockbuster Hindi films which were high on mother or brother sentiment. Chatrapathi has two emotions in it.

Will you continue doing Pan India films?
I’m not obsessed with this Pan India thing. It depends on script. If I feel the script has universal appeal, then we will go for Pan India or else I’m happy to do in Telugu films alone.

Who is the best critic of your films?
My brother, my family and friends are the best critics of my films. They are very honest and straightforwardly give their feedback. I take their suggestions as well.

Let’s wish Bellamkonda Srinivas a happy birthday and wish him good luck for his next release Alludu Adhurs!

Pogaru Trailer- Massy and action-filled

The songs of Pogaru have created a good buzz for the Kannada film that has Dhruv Sarja as the main lead. The film is being dubbed in Telugu as Pogaru and the makers today revealed its trailer.

The film is a mass masala entertainer and showcases Dhruv as a rugged mass guy who is hard to handle even by the cops. Rashmika is shown as the girl who hates him and there comes a twist when the hero falls for her.

How a mass guy falls for a cute girl and what problems he faces from the cops is shown well. The film has been shot mostly in Hyderabad and looks like, full-on entertainer. For now, this Kananda project has managed to evoke enough vibe.
